Globalink
was engaged by Saipem to deliver land rigs from Italy
to Aksai. The total volume of shipment was nearly
1500 tons / 4500 CBM, including a few heavy lifts
and over-sized components. An Omski class vessel was
chartered to transport the rigs from Italy to Samara,
where rail and low-bed trucks were used to carry the
cargo from the Samara Sea Port to the job site in
Aksai. The complete door to door transportation project
was completed in only 47 days.
